The Prime Minister meets with the Chairman of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Purchasing, Medical Supply and Supply, and the Medical Technology Department

Yesterday, the government reviewed a proposal for an investment incentive package for the health care sector, and the establishment of hospitals and therapeutic medical centers, to include specialized, integrated, or general hospitals, and diagnostic or therapeutic medical centers. During the meeting held by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, yesterday, to follow up on the position of implementing health projects, within the “Decent Life” presidential initiative, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, the mix of proposed investment benefits and incentives was discussed, including guarantees and general incentives, in addition to... To special incentives, as well as additional incentives, in addition to the golden license, which includes a single approval issued by a decision of the Council of Ministers to establish, operate and manage the project, and includes all licenses necessary to establish and operate the project and various investment incentives. The Prime Minister directed that these incentives and the standards they contain be presented to the Council of Ministers. The Ministers, in light of the state’s current tendency to stimulate the private sector, to increase its contributions to economic and service activities, in implementation of the state ownership policy document.
Madbouly also directed that there be an operating plan for the health centers and facilities that were completed in the first phase of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative, in line with the state’s plan for the comprehensive health insurance system, as well as the importance of relying on the local component in implementation. During a meeting to review the work priorities for the Ministry of Health’s projects during the year 2023-2024 and the future investment plan for the health sector, in the presence of the Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Madbouly stressed the interest that the health sector receives, and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s continued directives in this regard. In this regard, to provide health services to citizens and improve their quality. In the same context, the Prime Minister witnessed, via video conference technology, the opening of 5 branches of “Ambulance 24” pharmacies, after their development, and stressed that developing ambulance pharmacies and achieving their wider spread are consistent with the state’s keenness to advance various medical services, because these pharmacies contribute to Providing medicine to a wide segment of citizens in various governorates. He also directed to speed up the identification of suitable lands and locations to disseminate the “Ambulance 24” pharmacies model in various governorates, pointing out that the government is keen to overcome all obstacles, in order to achieve the goal of expanding this distinctive medical model.
